Bruce Froemming is the Umpire Fantasy League's 2007 umpire of the year. In his 37th and final Major League Baseball umpiring season, was selected as the Crew Chief for the 2007 All Star Game, his third, as well as Crew Chief for the ALDS between the Yankees and Indians, his ninth DS and 24th postseason. In April, he surpassed Hall of Fame Umpire Bill Klem as Major League Baseball's longest tenured umpire, with 37 years of service. Froemming worked his 5,000th game last August in Boston, the second umpire to acheive that mark. Froemming finished the 2007 season with 2 ejections.
