HP Umpire Wally Bell ejected Tigers left fielder Marcus Thames for arguing a called third strike in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the Cardinals-Tigers game. With one out and two on, Thames took a 3-2 curveball from Cardinals pitcher Kyle Lohse for a called third strike. Replays show the pitch was located knee high and outside, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Cardinals were leading, 3-2. The Tigers ultimately won the contest, 8-7.
